What this means in real life
When you watch a sunset, it looks like the Sun moves across the sky and disappears below the horizon—but in reality, Earth is rotating toward darkness while the Sun stays in place, exactly as the heliocentric model predicts.
What it isn’t
It does not mean the Sun is stationary in absolute space; the Sun itself orbits the galactic center. It simply means the Sun is the central body around which planets in our solar system revolve, not that it is immobile.
Commonly misused online
Some use it to dismiss any non-Sun-centered perspective as 'backwards,' ignoring that geocentrism was reasonable given naked-eye observations and that scientific models are tools, not moral judgments.
