What this means in real life
When UV sunlight damages the DNA in your skin cells, enzymatic repair systems work to identify the broken bonds and patch them back together—without this process, sun exposure would cause far more cancer.
What it isn’t
It is not the same as healing a wound or regenerating lost tissue. Enzymatic repair works at the molecular level inside cells to fix chemical damage, not to regrow damaged organs or close cuts.
Commonly misused online
People sometimes claim 'enzymatic repair' supplements or creams can reverse aging or cure genetic diseases, but the term refers only to natural cellular processes—no topical product can meaningfully activate these mechanisms.
